In our last post covering how to become an event-attending ninja, we covered the top student groups to follow to make sure your calendar is full. However, that is only half the story. To get the full event scoop, and find out about what some of the extremely talented staff at Northeastern are cooking up, you’re going to need to follow some of these departments/services/programs listed here.
If there’s any one organization that can drastically improve your life, it’s NU Dining. The masters of the new food truck, the Hungry Hungry Husky (#H3), the sponsors of the infamous Stetson East Mardi Gras Party, and all around good people, NU Dining can certainly add value to your twitter feed. But while we all know about the food truck and some of the big events, you may not know about some of the great Xhibition Kitchen events that they bring. Including entry into Stetson West, you can meet celebrity chefs, learn their cooking secrets, and win great prizes. Be sure to check out their WEBSITE for their schedule in the Fall.
As Northeastern is moving up as an institution, so are our sports teams, and you definitely want to be a part of it. Follow Northeastern Athletics to learn about all upcoming games (and the occasional giveaway!) and keep your husky spirit pumped up. Also, be sure check out the new Ncentives program!
As you may know, Campus Activities helps manage essentially all of the student groups on campus, so it is safe to say that they know how to put on a good program. Once you see how they fill their Summester with trips to Martha’s Vineyard, Red Sox Games, Keepin’ It Cool, and many others, you’ll what they’re all about. They are also one of the best when it comes to doing twitter giveaways, so definitely follow them for your chance to win the next great prize. Also, be sure to check out their twitter Master Lists of every NU Office and Student Organization here: https://twitter.com/#!/434CSC/lists
Other Offices to Follow:
O.P.E.N. (Office of Prevention & Education) – A great resource, and they put on a great Alcohol Awareness Week event each year.
Off-Campus Connections – Always putting on great events around Northeastern.
Fraternity and Sorority Life – A great resource for FSL life!
While this is a pretty good list, there is always more to explore when it comes to Northeastern, so if you have one that we didn’t mention, let us know in the comments!
