A Capella

This Saturday, March 24th at 8PM, MIT is hosting the International Championship of Collegiate A Capella’s Northeast Semifinals! Take a trip off campus to support NU’s very own Nor’easters as they compete against seven other college A Capella groups from New York to Canada for a chance to enter the finals in Lincoln Center where they can win cash prizes and become known as the Grand Champion! The show lasts three hours and costs $20 for students (not bad for all the talent you will be seeing). To learn more about the show, check out the event page.

Make your way to the waterfront in the beautiful weather this weekend to see New England’s premier art exhibition! The Society of Arts and Crafts is coming to present Craftboston Spring 2012 today and tomorrow from 10 AM to 6 PM and Sunday from 11 AM to 5 PM at the Seaport World Trade Center. The show will display the work of over 200 modern artists with a Steampunk focus! This style of art is a fusion of Victorian-style and modern-day technology. Check out the jewelry, ceramics, mixed media, and all other art inspired by this new craze. Click here for more information!
