Millennium Campus Conference
The MCC is the only conference in North America that brings together over 1,000 college students and dozens of leading advocates, professionals and celebrities to discuss the Millennium Development Goals. No other conference gives students the opportunity to learn tangible skills, connect in meaningful ways with their peers and engage directly with global leaders all in one weekend. Being hosted by Northeastern on Sept 14-15, the conference is modeled after the UN’s 6 millennium development goals which are fundamentally based on sustainability. About 1,000 students from all over the world have attended each of the 3 previous conferences.
The conference is being planned by a group of over 15 Northeastern students, including current SGA President Peter Petrin, GlobeMed president Maya Stawnychy, Generation Citizen president Haley Reddington, Society of Hispanic Engineers president Daniel Bedoya, Phi Delta Theta vice-president Max Kilb, NetImpact president Olivia Allen, Northeastern Students4Giving president Allyson Goldhagen, and International Relations Council and Northeastern Political Review former-president Noreen Leahy and others.

New Street Art and ICA Exhibition
You may have heard about the new mural to recently grace Dewey Square here in Boston (shown above), but the famed Brazilian urban artists Otavio and Gustavo Pandolfo, known to most as Os Gêmeos, or “the twins” in Portuguese, are also having their work shown at the Institute of Contemporary Art until November 25, 2012. If that mural is any indication, it should be quite the gallery!
Students admission —$10, August 1 – November 25, Institute of Contemporary Art, 100 Northern Ave., Fort Point, 617-478-3100, icaboston.org.
