PSA: Free Electronics Recycling!

Help greenify Boston!

UMass Boston and Mayor Menino have partnered to sponsor a free household electronics event. This collection is open to the public  and will be on Saturday, Sept. 29th, from 9 AM – 3 PM. It will be held at the Bayside Expo Parking Lot located at 200 Mt. Vernon St., Dorchester, MA.

Events like these are important because electronics usually contain toxic chemicals that, if not handled and recycled properly, can negatively affect the environment and damage the communities surrounding waste areas. Please make sure that you have a plan for your no-longer-needed electronics when moving!

Material Accepted: Computers, monitors, televisions, LCD panels, printers, other computer
electronic games, VCRs, circuit boards, and other household electronic devices.
Materials Not Accepted: Air conditioners, dehumidiers, back up or UPS ower supplies – batteries

For information on this event and other ways to recycle go to:

* All recycling will be safely done in North America.
