Husky Super Tuesday: Collins Tuohy, Transit, and Haute Fashion!

There’s a lot of exciting events going on at Northeastern tomorrow (Tuesday, Sept. 25th, 2012), so here’s what’s going down!

Collins Tuohy 

Tuesday, September 25th, in Blackman Auditorium

Collins Tuohy, the real life daughter of Leigh Anne Tuohy, played by Sandra Bullock in the movie The Blind Side, is coming to Northeastern. She will be discussing the true story behind the movie, her tightknit relationship with her brother Michael Oher, as well as help the audience understand how they can change the lives of others.

Tickets are free and available on MyNEU now. Doors open at 7:30pm, and the event starts at 8:00pm

Transit, William Beckett (from The Academy Is…), and War Games

Tuesday, September 25th, in AfterHours

MEISA and CUP are bringing Transit, a local band that has been making splashes in the Pop/Punk scene to AfterHours! Their album reached No. 9 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart and No. 40 on the Independent Albums chart. They were named one of the “Bands To Watch in 2011” by ALTERNATIVE PRESS, Transit has played beside Four Year Strong, Bayside, Senses Fail and many others.

Kendall Herbst, Past Editor at Lucky Mag

Tuesday, September 25th, in 106 West Village G

NU Haute Fashion presents: Kendall Herbst!  Starting in 2006 at as the Assistant Fashion Editor, she continued on to become Lucky’s Fashion News Editor and then InStyle’s Online Market & Fashion News Editor. She even did some freelance work for J.Crew and NBC. Eventually, Kendall decided it was time for a change and she made her way to MIT where she is currently pursuing an MBA in hopes to become an entrepreneur. Her start-up idea, StyleUp, has been featured on Daily Candy.
