Come meet Jonathan Katz, Mikerlina Dragon, Charles Kerbyforeign correspondent and author, today at 12pm in Snell Library room 90. Hear Katz recall his experiences as the only full-time American correspondent in Haiti during the 2010 earthquake. He will also be presenting his book, The Big Truck That Went By, a critique of international aid and how countries fall to deprivation and catastrophe when this precious gift is mishandled. Katz will give his suggestions on how to make aid “smarter.”
Is a career in the sciences in your future? The College of Science will be hosting an interactive panel experience featuring several renowned representatives of professionals in the sciences. .imagesMeet a physician specializing in addiction medicine and leading researchers in radiochemistry, bioanalytical chemistry, and neurogenerative disease Get to know recent graduates who are just beginning their journeys toward solid careers. The panel will be followed by the opportunity to hold small group discussions with the various guest speakers. This event is from 6-8pm in the Raytheon Amphitheater, and food will be served!
