World Interfaith Harmony Week and Black History Month

mlkToday marks the beginning of the annual World Interfaith Harmony Week, promoted by the United Nations as an opportunity for our communities to come together in the pursuit of peace, social justice, and sustainability. President Aoun will give a Community Address today at 4pm in the Fenway Center. This address will highlight the importance of diverse faiths and traditions represented at Northeastern. There will be refreshments following the ceremony.

Also, February is Black History Month! The John D.O’Bryant African-American Institute has organized events happening all month that promote the consciousness and awareness of the societal value of the individuals of the African Diaspora. These events provide the entire Northeastern Community with an opportunity to come together to celebrate diversity and the richness of black history month. We will be blogging about these events all month, so check back soon!
