Food Justice Week is still going strong here on campus. Today join members of Slow Food NU for a walk to Haley House Bakery and Café, about ten minutes from IV. The café offers vegan and vegetarian options, local and organic ingredients, fair trade coffee, and free wi-fi! The group will be leaving the IV lobby at 2:15, make sure to join them!
At 12, come to the Asian American Center (109 Hemenway) to learn about the ways in which various staple ingredients and dishes have influenced Asian cultures. You will learn about Asian food and be able to try it for yourself as well!
Tonight, Slow Food NU welcomes Daniel Fireside of Equal Exchange. Daniel will give a talk about Equal Exchange’s mission, the global side to sustainable food, and how we can be involved. This event will occur at 8pm in room 19 of International Village.
