Get your Vibe on today with The Day of Good Deeds, Northeastern! The Good Vibes group on campus introduces The Day of Good Deeds, happening today from 12 to 5:30 with various events around campus. Good Vibes is an intentional community that aims to provide a safe and open environment at weekly meetings to deepen one’s understanding of community and to find ways to share that with the greater student body at Northeastern. Activities that will be offered include but are not limited to: yoga, dance parties, jam sessions, chalk murals, “scavenger hunt” of good deeds, massages, and more. You are invited to attend The Center for Spirituality, Dialogue, and Service’s Open House! They are opening up their doors today from 3-5pm as part of the Day of Good Deeds. Come join them for refreshments and meet the Center’s staff and spiritual advisors. Make your way to the Sacred Space (200 Ell Hall) from 3 to 5pm today.
Time to get interactive with Northeastern’s Pop-up Open Lab Experience and Reception! The Office of the Provost, Colleges of Arts, Media & Design, and Computer and Information Science invites you to drop in, meet colleagues, eat, and explore interactive games across all disciplines! The Pop-up will be held at Snell Library in the Digital Media Commons from 4 to 6pm, and food will be served. Check out them wheels! Back in January, Northeastern installed a self-service bike repair stand underneath the archway near West Village A. Today SGA invites the Northeastern community to the official unveiling of the bike stand, which will take place at 5:30 outside of West Village A North. Also, the local non-profit cycling co-op Common Wheels will be facilitating a workshop following the bike stand ceremony. Come show your appreciation for Northeastern’s sustainability efforts and enjoy this nice(er) weather!
Open Mic event tonight, we April Fools you not! The Writing Club presents “Spoken Word,” a reading/open mic event for members and non-members to participate in reading prose and poetry and playing live music. Walk-ons are welcomed and encouraged, and the event will begin at 7pm in AfterHours.
Look, it’s those super high dudes! Doug Benson and Graham Ellwood will be on campus today as one of the events of SpringFest week. Benson is best known for his documentary Super High Me that studied the effects of medicinal marijuana, co-starring Graham Ellwood. The two have also appeared in various films, TV, and podcasts. The duo will be in Blackman at 7:30; tickets are free and are available on myNEU.
