It is finally Friday Huskies; another long school and work week has come to an end. This week has been quite hot but, luckily, this weekend offers some relief from that gross, sticky, heat. In celebration, why not check out some fun, free events (or at little cost) happening around Boston? Most events are relatively close to Northeastern and are a great way to experience something new and exciting!
On Saturday, Magic 106.7 is hosting a movie night in the Prudential Garden. This week, the feature film is Wreck it Ralph. Grab some popcorn and a blanket and enjoy the night!
Looking to enjoy a bit of theatre? Shakespeare on the Common is going on this entire month. The Two Gentlemen of Verona is being featured and is completely free to anyone who would like to enjoy!
If you haven’t been down to the Boston Common recently, take a walk down there this weekend to see performances hosted by Outside the Box Music Festival. The festival ends this Sunday, but there is still plenty of entertainment left to enjoy. On Saturday, the Mighty Mighty Bosstones are performing!
For more information on the above events and for additional listings of activities, check out Boston on a Budget’s website http://bostononbudget.com/cheap-weekend-fun-in-greater-boston-for-july-20-21-2013/.
Well Huskies, I hope you are able to get out and take in some of these awesome events. The weather should be a bit more tolerable and hey, who doesn’t love free activities?!
