Thanks to a tip from @ConciergeBoston, we’ve learned that the Boston Ballet will be presenting a free performance on Boston Common. The “Night of Stars” takes place on Saturday, September 21 at 7:00 PM. The stage will be set up at the corner of Beacon and Charles. In the event of rain, the performance will take place the following night. The performance’s program is as follows:
The evening’s program features a vast range of works from classical ballet to contemporary dance including George Balanchine’s Serenade and Symphony in Three Movements, Jorma Elo’s Plan to B, and excerpts from Marius Petipa’s Don Quixote, Florence Clerc’s La Bayadère, and Christopher Bruce’s Rooster and a special surprise world premiere piece.
