Hip Hop In the Age of Obama: Sept. 25

Do you enjoy academic discussions about pop culture? I know I do!* A very interesting discussion about hip hop in the age of President Obama is coming to the Northeastern Center for the Arts on September 25. Students are invited to attend this free event in the Cabral Center with Mark Anthony Neal, Marc Bamuthi Joseph, Dr. Sarah J. Jackson, Professor Emmett G. Price III, and Professor Murray Forman. This event takes place in conjunction with the Word Becomes Flesh performance at the Blackman Auditorium on September 28. More information can be found here.

*No seriously, I wrote awesome papers for my gender, race, and ethnicity course at Emerson College about English nationalism in ’90s Britpop and Spice Girls brand feminism. I am a very unique type of nerd. -KK
