My first experience with Pret A Manger came when I was just 16 years old and visiting London for the first time. Lucky for me, the UK chain is expanding to the US by opening a third location at 855 Boylston Street. Forgive me for being late to the party, dear readers. I was living out in California up until a month ago! The new Pret location doesn’t officially open until Monday, but interested foodies are encouraged to stop by tomorrow, September 27 for “Guinea Pig Day.” From BostInno:
In order to welcome Pret to the neighborhood (or at least, to that neck of the neighborhood, since there’s one at 507 Boylston Street), they’re inviting us Bostonians to stop in on Friday morning for breakfast or coffee, and if you do, you’ll receive a voucher to come back the same day from 12 to 2 p.m. for a free lunch. (While supplies last of course, so emphasis on the 12 p.m.)
Pret offers tasty sandwiches on its lunch menu so this is a great chance to try them out. Now, if only we could get Gregg’s in Boston!
