Moonapalooza on Saturday Night

We like the moon ‘cos it is close to us…”

On Saturday night, the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics is opening its doors to the public for “Moonapalooza.” This free events kicks off at 7:00 PM. It includes presentations about the moon, the opportunity to gaze through telescopes, and even Moon Pies (shout out to the RC Cola and Moon Pie festival in Bell Buckle, Tennessee!). Your humble blog authoress would also like to give a shout out to whoever built the event page because that picture of the moon is from the 1902 silent film Le Voyage dans la Lune, which the Smashing Pumpkins paid tribute to in their awesome video for “Tonight, Tonight.” Let’s go stargazing, Huskies!
