NU Trivia for Homecoming Comedy Tickets: Day 2

Yesterday, I asked my blog readers to answer the following question: What was Northeastern University’s original name? A number of students emailed me with the correct answer, the Evening Institute for Younger Men. My coworker Kassie and I wrote the names of students that correctly answered the question down on little slips of paper, put these slips in a hat, and then drew a name at random. Lisa W. was the lucky winner of a pair of tickets to see Donald Glover and Reggie Watts on Saturday night!

So here’s your second chance to win, Huskies. Today’s question is:

How did Opera Place get its name?

Just like yesterday, email me at k.kravitz (at) with the correct answer by 2:00 PM. I will once again put the names of those with the correct answer in a hat and draw a winner at random. Please remember that this competition is unfortunately only open to undergraduate students. Stay tuned to the Student Life blog for one final question and chance to win tomorrow!

Good luck!
