Applications are open now for the 2014 LaCLA Scholarship. What is the LaCLA Scholarship, you ask? Here’s the description from its website:
The LaCLA (La Comunidad Latina en Acción) Scholarship was established in 1993 by a group of Latino/a students at Northeastern University as a way to increase the retention of Latino/a students at the university. The purpose of the scholarship is to encourage academic excellence of students and promote community service on campus and in Greater Boston. The scholarship is a tuition only award given annually to eight students. Awards are annually renewable for scholars who maintain a 3.0 GPA/QPA, submit FASFA annually, and satisfactorily complete the required 200 hours of community service, under the guidance of the Latino/a Student Cultural Center and the LaCLA Chair and
