Oxfam is looking for student leaders!

Are you a rising sophomore or junior? Are you a student leader? Then Oxfam America wants you! Oxfam is now accepting applications for its national student leadership program, CHANGE. CHANGE Leaders are exposed to the international development issues that inform Oxfam’s work, and apply their skills and creativity to run Oxfam campaigns on campus. Selected students participate in a week-long training in Boston, July 19-25, 2014, which is organized and paid for by Oxfam. Students then work with Oxfam on campus during the 2014-15 academic year and join or form an Oxfam Club to implement an Oxfam campaign on campus.

What will you learn as a CHANGE leader?

  • Receive leadership and advocacy training focused toward creating social change locally and globally
  • Have access to expert skills based training, resources, materials and year-round support from Oxfam staff
  • Explore policy issues related to the global food system using a rights based approach
  • Establish connections and share knowledge with college students from the US and beyond

Applications for the the CHANGE initiative are due by April 1, 2014. You can apply online here and learn more about the program here.
