Fitness for a Cause

Do you enjoy fitness classes and fighting cancer? Then “Fitness for a Cause” is the event for you! On May 10th (this Saturday), Reebok is hosting a fundraiser in support of the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. It will consist of two back-to-back, endorphin and sweat inducing fitness classes – Cardio Kick with Eliza Shirazi and Barreless Barre with Catherine Marshall.  From the event page:

Cardio Kick is a cardio kickboxing class that works out your whole body while losing yourself in upbeat music. Barreless Barre is a class that targets every muscle group using small isometric movements accompanied by cardio movements to get the heart rate up.

And a little about the Trainers:

 ElizaEliza Shirazi

Kick It, which was founded in 2009, encompasses Shirazi’s signature group fitness classes and health & wellness coaching. Along with instructing classes, Eliza has done several kick-a-thons to help raise money for important causes. This fitness pioneer currently works full-time as a ClimbCorps member for Brigham and Women’s hospital, helping to revolutionize fitness & health in Boston.

CatherineCatherine Marshall

Catherine began teaching Barre (Core Fusion TM) at Exhale Spa in the heart of Boston in 2007. She teaches all disciplines of Exhale’s Core Fusion program including Core Boot camp, Core Cardio, and Core Sport and has had over 2500 teaching hours experience and over 250 hours of training in anatomy, physical alignment, and class instruction.

Tickets for this exceptional event are only $25 a piece and 100% of the proceeds will be donated to Avon Walk for Breast Cancer (which will take place in Boston on May 17th and 18th).
