A Time of Remembrance


Tomorrow, join us as we gather to remember the people lost and families affected during the tragedy that occurred September 11, 2001.

This community gathering will include a musical selection, a time of silent reflection, a reading of the names and bell ringing in memory of Candace Lee Williams and other members of the Northeastern community members who perished on 9/11, reflections from Candace’s Professor Sharon Bruns (Accounting), a reading of poetry, and closing remarks from President Joseph E. Aoun.

The Sacred Space and Reflection Room in 201 Ell Hall will be open all day to members of the Northeastern community for personal prayer and reflection.

When: Thursday, September 11th from 11:30am-12:00pm

Where: Candace Lee Williams September 11th Memorial Marker/Tree, located on the brick terrace between Ell Hall, the  D’Amore McKim School of Business, and the Mugar Life Sciences Building, off the southwest corner of Krentzman Quad. The rain location will be the Sacred Space, 201 Ell Hall.
