Northeastern is known for being sustainable. We are ranked on The Princeton Review’s Guide to 332 Green Colleges, an achievement we’ve held since 2009. We are a founding member of the American College & University Presidents Climate Commitment and have even won numerous awards for our green initiatives.
In tune with all of our sustainable achievements, the Office of Sustainability and Energy Management, the NU Police Department, and the Office of Off-Campus Student Services are sponsoring the Fall Sustainability Bike Safety and Light Fair TODAY! This fair starts at 11:30 and ends at 1:30 on the Snell Quad. There will be free food, bike safety devices developed by NU Engineering students, and if you bring in an old incandescent or CFL lamp you’ll get a free LED! You can also purchase heavily discounted LED lighting and energy efficient lamps (to help you save on expensive electric bills!).
So, stop on by the Snell Quad today and talk to Boston Bikes, Boston Cyclists’ Union, Hubway and MassRides about bike safety, learn a bit more about energy efficient lighting, and grab some food!
Date: 9/16 (Today!!)
Time: 11:30 am-1:00 pm
Place: Snell Quad
