It’s Wednesday afternoon, you’re walking through Centennial Commons after class, and what you could really go for right about now is…a peach. Well, you’re in luck, because you’ve just stumbled upon the Northeastern Farmers Market!
Almost lost from campus in 2012, the market is back with a renewed passion for bringing cheap, fresh produce to the student body. Where else on your daily route can you get a carton of raspberries for $4?
While currently made up of a modest three stalls, the Farmer’s Market carries a wide variety of fruits and veggies plus other unique treats. Our vendors are Marshall’s Farm Stand, based in Gloucester, Ward’s Berry Farm, based in Sharon (and also our Faculty/Staff CSA provider), and Mola Bakery from Wakefield.
The Farmers Market is held every Wednesday from 10am – 4 pm on Centennial Commons between the entrance to Ryder Hall and Ruggles Station. During the winter, usually starting at the end of November, the Market moves indoors to Curry Student Center just in front of the University Book Store.
