NU Bucket List – #4
Prudential Center Skywalk Observatory
The Prudential Center skyscraper is trademark part of the skyline behind Northeastern. You can look up at it all you want, which is why we’re challenging you to flip the view before you graduate.
Take the elevator (or stairs if you’re feeling a marathon climb) 50 floors up to the Skywalk Observatory, which offers a gorgeous, unhampered 360-degree view of Boston. We defy you to find a more breathtaking vista out over the city.
Things to look for:
- Your dorm (especially if you’re in IV or East Village, which are easy to spot)
- Street artist JR’s mural on the side of the John Hancock tower
- Fenway Park
- The most expensive boat you can find on the bay
The Skywalk Observatory & Exhibit is open seven days a week year round, with winter hours from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm and summer hours from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm. With a student ID, admission is $13. If you’re feeling fancy, the Top of the Hub restaurant pairs fine dining with the exquisite view and is a great place to get drinks. It’s a bit pricey though, so maybe save dinner for when the parents stop by Boston for a visit.
To get you excited for your skywalk adventure, here are a few incredible shots of the view:
