NU Bucket List – #8

Meet KING HUSKY @ NU Bucket List

That’s right, our 8th #NUBucketList is…NU Bucket List! The Office of Student Affairs and the Resident Student Association have teamed up to welcome everyone back to campus with a very awesome evening of food and lots of awesome swag. You’ll map out all the things you want to do before graduation, as well as check off a major accomplishment from your Northeastern list…meet our very own King Husky!

Northeastern adopted its first live mascot in 1927, and since has had kings queens, and even a princess regent or two. The incumbent, King Husky VIII, has been on the throne since 2005 after a long hiatus in NU’s live mascot tradition. He lives with his owner in the Boston area and tries his very hardest to make it to all the best campus events.

On Thursday, January 14th from 4:30 to 7:00 pm, the Curry Ballroom will be awash with husky pride! Make your own IRL bucket list…with an actual bucket (we’ll need pictures please and thank you, make sure to tweet us)!  The guest of honor will of course be King Husky himself, and we hear he’s game for a selfie or two. You’ll also walk away with a well-equipped all-nighter kit, samples from all your favorite neighborhood eateries, and, if you’re lucky, a selfie with President Aoun on a brand new selfie stick! The start of your spring semester could not possibly get any cooler.

Since this particular event is near and dear to our #NUBucketList heart, if you tweet us a picture from the event, you’re entered to win an especially awesome pile of Northeastern gear (and just when you were wondering what to wear to the Beanpot!). Pictures with King Husky win lots of extra brownie points.
