Friday, Feb 12th: Viernes de Vacilon Latin Dance Party @ Ryles
Boston’s favorite Jazz club will open its doors Friday evening for Viernes de Vacilon, a Latin dance party guaranteed to get you moving. Novices and experts alike frequent Ryles for everything from Salsa to Bachata to Merengue, and are always happy to show you some moves. Just the opposite of your middle school dances of yore, only go if you’re down for hours of dancing. Doors open at 10 pm just after the Jazz show ends, and the dance floor stays packed until 2 am. “Tasteful” attire is required (so, no sweats…?) and it’s over-18 only.
Ryles Jazz Club. 212 Hampshire St, Cambridge. 10 pm – 2 am. $5 before 11 pm, $10 after 11 pm. http://www.rylesjazz.com/week1.cfm
Saturday, Feb 13th: Snow Ballz on the Common
Gather a trusty band of huskies with good aim to take on college students from across Boston in the city’s largest snowball fight! This annual free-for-all draws thousands of warriors of all snow-slinging abilities for an afternoon battle. We already know Northeastern is the best school in town; time to prove it once and for all with a few snowballs. Make us proud.

Winning storytellers will perform at the BigMouthOff in April!
