Club Passim. 47 Palmer St, Cambridge. 7 – 9 pm. $5 – $10.www.massmouth.org

Love spinning? Come celebrate National Bike Week at City Hall Plaza with the Best Buddies spinning challenge! Teams from across Boston led by cycling pros will race on stationary bikes to benefit Best Buddies’ work to support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. When you’re not cheering on your favorite team, you can try out some stationary bikes yourself, pick up samples from local food trucks, and enter awesome drawings like a chance to play football with Tom Brady!

your terrible ex

Crack up listening to true relationship mishaps at this hilarious comedy show with a heartbreaking twist! Each week features a guest group from the Boston area performing audience-inspired improv about matters of the heart. Every performance this summer includes free JP Licks vouchers so you can grab some ice cream after the show!

The Riot Theater, 146A South Street. 10 – 11:30 pm. Free. http://www.naffyimprov.com/your-terrible-ex.html

Saturday, May 21st: Sh*t-Faced Shakespeare – A Midsummer Night’s Dream

shitfaced shakespeare

Shit-Faced Shakespeare is back with a brand new show–A Midsummer Night’s Dream! One of Boston’s favorite theater companies performs entirely serious Shakespearean masterpieces…but with one entirely drunken cast member. Each night, one actor is randomly selected to become desperately inebriated over the course of the show, even taking direction from the audience to drink more when sobriety threatens. Because the drunken role rotates each night, no two shows are the same!

Laugh Boston at the Westin Boston Waterfront. 6 – 8 pm. $15. https://www.goldstar.com/events/boston-ma/sht-faced-shakespeare-a-midsummer-nights-dream-tickets?aff_sub5=&modal_signup=&test_signup=

Sunday, May 22nd: South End Open Market

south end open market

The South End Open Market at Ink Block, held every Sunday during the summer, is Boston’s best spot for all things art, food, and farm-fresh goods! Every weekend, Ink Block’s open lot transforms into a bustling marketplace with over 130 stalls selling local goods and goodies. Even if you’re not there to shop, it’s still an adventure to make your way through the busy (and loud) market just window shopping…and perhaps munching on a gourmet grilled cheese.

375 Harrison Ave. 10 am – 4 pm. http://newenglandopenmarkets.com/portfolio/inkblock/
