The V:List: Your Guide to Live Music in Boston

When I moved to Boston as a freshman at neighboring Emerson College, I was psyched to experience the city’s live music venues. During my first two weeks in the city alone I saw Magnolia Electric Company (RIP Jason Molina!), Ladytron, the Damnwells, and others. Being able to hop on the T and attend shows at such amazing venues as the Middle East and the Paradise Rock Club was nothing short of a dream come true. If you’re like me and eager to take advantage of Boston’s awesome music scene then you definitely need the V:List.

Last spring, Boston lost the Boston Phoenix, a long-running alternative weekly newspaper. The Phoenix included a myriad of interesting local and national content but many of us treated it as the #1 source for music listings. Vanyaland’s V:List picks up where the Phoenix left off. From the Sinclair in Harvard Square to Brighton Music Hall in Allston, the V:List highlights the most exciting acts passing through our fair city.
